New Journal

Well, I just had to make one more journal!  This one is done using the long stitch:

I used hawaiian bark cloth for the covers and book tape for the spine.

And inside, I used prints of a background I made for a different project. The excess string was used for a bookmark, with a few beads dangling at the bottom. The paper is a fake parchment. It has a nice creamy color. There are 288 pages (12 signatures @ 6 sheets). This journal measures 6"x9" and is 2" thick.

I think the next journal I make will have brown kraft paper for the signatures. I've been really drawn to darker papers and I'm still itching to make a black paged journal!
